Big Blue Brewery, Cape Coral, FL

We’ve recently discovered some great restaurants in Cape Coral and Big Blue Brewery is one of them.  It is located on the corner of 10th St. and SE 47th Terrace in Cape Coral.  A micro-brewery with a great pub-fare menu.  I had the lamb burger, Two 4oz Grilled Lamb Patties topped with Rosemary Goat Cheese, Lettuce, Pineapple BBQ, Tomatoes, and Big Blue Beer-Braised Onions with Roasted Red Pepper Aioli on a Brioche Bun.  It was yummy!  Terry had the Sweet Chili Maple glazed chicken wings with a side of celery and ranch dressing.  Tasty!

Parrot Key Caribbean Grill, Fort Myers Beach, FL

Welcome to paradise.  Parrot Key Caribbean Grill is on the Back Bay of Fort Myers Beach on Main St.  Their colorful buildings and open air restaurant is candy to the eyes as you enter!  The decor –  parrots everywhere of course!  They are famous for their seafood with fresh catch daily cooked to your liking and served with your choice of sauce – The mussels are spicy and wonderful as are their vast array of tropical drinks – one of our favorites is the “Permanent Vacation” Southern Comfort, light rum, peach schnapps, Coconut rum, grenadine, pineapple, cranberry juice and a splash of Sprite. Served on the rocks. Another favorite is the Chocolate Island Martini White Godiva chocolate liquor, Pinnacle Vanilla Vodka and White Cream de Cacao. Served up in a martini glass. Garnished with chocolate swirl. Those will put you in that island mood!  Parrot Key also has a gift shop for those special souvenirs you’ll want to take home.

Accessible by boat on the Back Bay, and next door to Salty Sam’s Marina where boat and kayak rentals are available.  And don’t miss the Pirate boat cruise – great for the kids with daily excursions into the Gulf.

Campiello’s Restaurant, Downtown Naples, FL

In the heart of Third St. in downtown Naples is where you’ll find Campiello’s.

A charming Italian restaurant that is very popular with the locals.  It’s outdoor patio seating and elegant Tuscan table settings make you feel like you’re in a café in Italy.  The large outdoor bar accommodates dining or relax at a table next to the cherub fountain and enjoy the view of patrons on Third St.  Featured Italian favorites abound.  We were there for lunch and feasted on a wonderful ANT I PA S TO of Mixed Salami, Cheese and Olives.  My lunch was a house salad with blue cheese and house vinaigrette and my entrée was pasta Pappardelle with Braised Veal, Tomato and Onion. It was a treat to my taste buds and really delicious.  They are open for lunch and dinner 1177 Third Street South 239.435.1166.
